About Us

The existence of Nesto College, Oyo is beyond human understanding. It is an act of God Almighty requiring steps of faith, made perfect by His precious and Amazing Grace.Nesto College is an off-shoot of Araromi Nursery/Primary Institute, Oyo which started on September 1, 1981. Request from the products and parents of the institute led to the establishment of the college. The school derived its name from the acronym of the proprietors Nathaniel Esther Oshin.

Nesto College is a co-education institution. It has both day and boarding facilities. We emphasize academic excellence with character building, by trying to enrich spiritual lives of students who will become law abiding citizens.

Nesto College was established on 25th October 1993 at Araromi Nursery / Primary site. The school moved to its permanent site on Wednesday January 20 1990. The official opening of the school was held on Tuesday 20th July, 1999. In attendance at that occasion were dignitaries from all walks of life including the Royal Father Kabiyesi, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi the lll.the Alaafin of Oyo, the then Honourable Commissioner for Education Dr. A.A. Adelakun, other Ministry officials, Parents, staff and the students of the school.

OBJECTIVES OF NESTO COLLEGE

1. To gather youths and train their minds, develop their skills, knowledge and attitudes so that they can “stand before kings and not before mean men”.
2. To take the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a catchment, basin for the youths who will come under the ambit of our influence, and become serviceable and dedicated to God and humanity.
3. To nurture them to rely on hard work, faith and prayer for successful achievements in life.
4. To lead them to live clean, faithful and honest lives, becoming happy and
   useful members of Nigerian society.
5. To expect great things from God by “Attempting great things for God” (William Carey)
6. To keep some people gainfully employed, thereby, in our small way reducing unemployment problem in our community.
